Bridal showers

There are bridal showers… and then there are brunch bridal showers with mimosas, pancakes, tapas, a gorgeous grazing board and an adorable puppy crashing the party.

One of my favorite things about owning Citrus Events is getting to work directly with families to create celebrations that actually feel like them.

For this shower, I had the pleasure of planning alongside the bride-to-be’s mom and sister. They wanted something beautiful but relaxed, special but not stuffy, and filled with really good food!

And that is exactly the kind of celebration we love creating.

When someone comes to Citrus to plan a celebration, I don’t want to simply hand them a package and tell them what their party should look like.

I actually want to hear what you’re imagining.

For this shower, we worked closely with Mom and the bride’s sister to bring their vision together—from the food and drinks to the way the afternoon would flow.

The afternoon began with a Make-Your-Own Mimosa Station, complete with bubbly, juices and garnishes.

For the meal, we created a generous brunch spread featuring fluffy pancakes, scrambled eggs and brunch favorites, along with one of our signature charcuterie grazing boards filled with specialty cheeses, gourmet meats, fruit and plenty to enjoy throughout the celebration.

And then came the tapas.

At Citrus, we love creating feeling.

The bride-to-be’s new puppy made a surprise appearance.

And honestly?

There was never any competition.

The food was fabulous. The mimosas were flowing. The room looked beautiful.

Puppy walks in?

Party over. Puppy wins.

And we were perfectly fine with it.

The best celebrations aren’t necessarily the biggest or fanciest.

They’re the ones where everyone feels happy and present.
